Part of the king run, Proverbs 16:10–15, reaching past the palace to the marketplace.
Quick answer
Fair measurement belongs to the LORD personally: the scales on the merchant's table and the stones in his bag are His concern, which makes every transaction a theological event.
Read both lines
The first line assigns ownership: honest weights and scales are the LORD's instruments, His domain. The second, the footnote reads "His concern," follows the principle into the bag where a merchant kept his weighing stones, and a dishonest one kept two sets. What makes the verse remarkable is how small it is willing to go: not empires, pebbles in a leather pouch. The LORD's stake in honesty reaches to the gram, so no transaction is minor enough to be morally invisible.
