Quick answer
A house against a tent, and the flimsier structure is the one still standing. The verse is comparing occupants, not architecture.
Read both lines
The images are deliberately mismatched. A house is permanent and a tent is temporary, so the wicked man in this verse has the better building and loses it anyway, while the upright man's tent flourishes, an odd verb for canvas and a living one. This is the same claim verse 1 made about building and dismantling, now measured over a longer span. What determines whether a household lasts is not the quality of what was put up but the character of who is inside it.
